David Thomassy, DVM

Dr. David Thomassy is the Chief of Staff at Valrico Animal Clinic, supported by his wife Dr. Lorie Thomassy. They are the parents of 3 children and have dedicated their lives to Veterinary Medicine. He is a 1997 graduate of the Auburn University, College of Veterinary Medicine, and received his Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Auburn University in 1993. Dr. Thomassy is skilled in providing complete medical and surgical care for dog, cats, and a wide variety of avian and exotic animals. He has special interests and skills in exotic animals and surgery (including orthopedic surgery, abdominal surgery, tumor removal, dentistry, and other non-traditional procedures). He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of Avian Veterinarians, and the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians.
